Beech Cottage

Beech Cottage is part of an elegant Victorian Mansion set in a tranquil and enviable location two minutes walk from Bassenthwaite Lake. Wander through our large gardens to the lakeshore where you can enjoy our rowing boat/fishing, bird watching or simply relaxing in the peaceful scene. Walk along the shoreline – look for Ospreys – to the pretty 13th century St. Begas church, Mirehouse and on to Dodd Wood and even Skiddaw.

For your enjoyment we offer you free use of our Games Room, complete with table tennis and dartboard. We have secure bike storage and ample car parking.

We pride ourselves in presenting Beech Cottage in a spotless condition, fully equipped, with colour TVs, including Freesat and DVD Player, as well as a cosy log stove for winter evenings. No need to bring bedlinen or towels as these are provided free.

Location

Beech Cottage is at Scarness just 10 minutes drive via A591 from Keswick and two minutes walk from Bassenthwaite Lake. We are near the Allerdale trail and a stones throw from Dodd Wood, Dodd and the Skiddaw mountain range, providing you with plenty of peaceful walks right from the door.
