Woodside Guest House

Woodside is a friendly, family run Guest House set in extensive mature gardens with private parking for up to 8 cars. All our en-suite rooms are spacious, centrally heated and have colour tv/radio, tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryers.

Ideally situated for walking, cycling and climbing we have secure cycle storage and drying facilities. As outdoor enthusiasts ourselves we are always on hand to help plan routes and offer advice, and we have plenty of maps and guide books available for guests' use.

Our substantial breakfasts (including homemade preserves) will set you up for the day. Vegetarian options are available and we can cater for coeliacs and special dietary needs. Packed lunches can be provided on request. Flasks are filled free of charge. Dogs are welcome by arrangement.

Location

From M6 jct 40 at Penrith, take the A66 heading west to Keswick for approximately 16 miles. Take the exit marked Keswick, Windermere A591. Follow this for about a mile, just before the T-junction turn right into our drive. From Penrith railway station take the X4, X5 or X50 bus to Keswick. Alight at the second stop on Penrith Road, we are 50m further on.

From the South Lakes, follow the A591 for Keswick. As you come down a steep hill above the town you enter the 30 mile per hour zone. Keep heading downhill until you aproach a junction for the A66 - turn right at this junction then turn immediately left into our drive.
