Swinside Lodge Hotel, a Georgian Lakeland house standing in it's own grounds beautifully situated at the foot of Cat Bell's surrounded by magnificent hills, valleys and woodland within the Lake District National Park.

The Lodge enjoys unimaginable quiet, it's gardens playing host to a wide variety of wildlife from numerous species of bird - 28 at the last count - to red squirrels, hares and resident pheasants.

The tranquil beauty of Lake Derwentwater, Queen of the Lakes, is a mere five minute stroll away where the Keswick launch provides a regular service around the lake.

All seven bedrooms are attractively and thoughtfully decorated offering a high degree of comfort and relaxation with views across the surrounding fells.

Our candlelit dining room creates an ambience complimenting the fine dining of superb quality produced by Chef Clive Imber with an intriguing array of culinary delights through the four course meal from locally sourced ingredients within our  AA 2 rosette restaurant. An eye catching 130 bin wine list influenced by regions all around the world adds to the dining experience.

Location

From Junction 40 M6 Motorway take A66 West towards Cockermouth. Ignore all Keswick turn off signs and take next left to Portinscale and Grange. The Lodge will be found after 2 miles - do not take any right turns sign posted Swinside -  on the right hand side.
