Squirrel Lodge is a warm, cosy, family-run guesthouse in a quiet area only a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre and around ten minutes from lake Derwentwater and the new theatre.

We offer a range of modern, well-equipped accommodation, comprising double, twin and single rooms. All of our rooms are ensuite, apart from the single which has private facilities. We have two  luxury double rooms, one a 4 poster bedded room with shower & the other a double with bath and shower.

Our breakfast choices include cereals, yoghurt, fruit and fruit juice as well as a choice of 3 cooked breakfasts; these are full English with local Cumberland sausage, kippers or vegetarian with home made hash browns. We try to use as much locally sourced ingredients as possible.

Many walks can be started from the doorstep and we will be happy to assist with your walk plans and provide information on the many activities available. Daily local weather forecast and drying facilities are available.

From M6 jct 40 at Penrith, follow signs for Keswick onto A66. Travel for 20-30 minutes. Take 1st turning into Keswick, past petrol station and turn left at the Conservative Club.

Closest train station is Penrith, take a bus to Keswick, hourly, X4, X5 or X50 and alight at war memorial.
