Spooney Green

Picture-postcard Spooney Green B & B in Keswick is a beautifully renovated 18th Century farm house and barn, nestling at the foot of Latrigg and alongside the Cumbria Way which pushes up to Skiddaw.  Perfect for North Lakes walking and climbing holidays.  We are just 15 minutes walk from Keswick town centre.  The house is surrounded by one and a half acres of beautiful gardens, the perfect spot to relax.  The mature garden has two ponds which are alive with toads, frogs, newts and dragon flies.  Many varieties of garden bird, including greated spotted wookpeckers come to the feeders, as do red squirrels.

We have ample car parking space, and we have secure storage for mountain bikes.  Convenient drying facilities are available and a good supply of local maps and guide books for guests to use.

We serve wholesome breakfasts at a time to suite you.  We sorce local products, make all our own bread and preserves, we have chickens for fresh eggs and bees for delicious honey, which is sometimes served in combs straight from the hives. Freshly prepared fruit (from the garden in season) and home made yoghourt are always available,

Spooney Green is perfect for Lakeland romantic breaks and walking holidays. We have three comfortably furnished double rooms.  All our bedrooms face south west and have wonderful views over the Lake District fells.  Unfortunately the property is not suitable fro childeren under 12 years old.

Spectacular Lakeland views and numerous walks surround the house, we are outdoor enthusiasts and will happily share advice on local walking and cycling routes.  By prior notice we can also arrange guided walks, paragliding lessons, water sports and bike hire.  Alternatively relax and enjoy the views or take the scenic 15 minute stroll into Keswick town centre.

Location

Travelling west on the A66 ignore the first entry into Keswick and continue to the roundabout.  Take the first exit and immediately turn Left just past the Pheasant Inn.  After just 300metres turn Left again up an un made up lane.  Spooney Green is at the top of the lane.
