LakeSide House

Lakeside House has undergone complete restoration and has been redecorated and refurnished to offer luxurious, contemporary boutique accommodation for visitors seeking a special stay in The Lakes. The restoration has been finely detailed and sympathetic to the building’s classical Victorian heritage.

After inspection and review by VisitEngland we are graded FOUR STAR and have a SILVER AWARD for quality of service. We have been accredited with a FOUR STAR award from the AA and are proud to advise we received a Highly Commended award from them shortly after.  LakeSide House has just been given a Certificate of Excellence Award for 2011 from Trip Advisor following some fantastic guest feedback. 

The accommodation has been completely remodelled and now offers fourteen spacious en-suite bedrooms, including twin and family rooms,  and most bedrooms have spectacular views of the Lake District mountains.  Visit before you stay be viewing our virtual tours on our website.   

Lakeside House is ideally located for a stay in Keswick, or as a base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District, whether you plan to fellwalk or cycle, or just want to relax in comfort and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

We are centrally located - just few minutes walk from the shore of Derwentwater and The Theatre By The Lake, and very close to the shops, restaurants and pubs of Keswick town centre. The House is located on the edge of Hope park, at the junction of The Heads and Lake Road.

Our accommodation is on 3 floors, with a lovely light and airy breakfast room, a fitness room and drying room facilities for cyclists and walkers.

We are open throughout the year. Exclusive occupancy is available for large groups, and we can accommodate groups of up to 32.

Location

By car:
Follow the signs for Keswick town centre, when you approach the mini roundabout in the centre of the town follow signs for Borrowdale/Derwentwater along B5721. After 0.4 mile on your right-hand side you will see The Heads; turn on to the filter and into The Heads. Follow the road keeping left at the fork, you will find Lakeside House on the left 50m after the fork opposite the ice cream pavilion. We always recommend using postal code CA12 5ES for use with a SATNAV.

By Bus, e.g. from Penrith:
From Penrith train station, take X5 bus to Keswick bus station located outisde Booths supermarket. From here cross the road with Booths on your left and follow B5721 signposted Borrowdale/Derwentwater. After 0.4 mile on your right-hand side you will see The Heads. Follow this road keeping left at the fork, you will find Lakeside House on the left 50m after the fork opposite the ice cream pavilion.
