Hunters Way Guest House is a Victorian Grade II listed building, perfectly situated for the many different walks and explorations of the Lakes.
Eric and Liz assure a warm welcome when you arrive at Hunters Way, we are situated in a quiet part of town, only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and 10 minutes walk from the Theatre by the Lake.
Hunters Way is a family run B&B and have many guests who return time after time to sample the homely atmosphere.
We have a Visit Britain four star rating and offer spacious, comfortable en-suite rooms for twin, double and family occupation, we also have two single standard rooms. All rooms have colour TV's with Digital Freeview, heating controls, tea / coffee making amenities, alarm clocks, hair-dryers, sewing kits and shoe cleaning cloths. We also have internet access via Wi-Fi, password can be supplied upon request.
We offer a wide selection of breakfast options including Full English, Vegetarian and continental. We can also make packed lunches by request.
Within the town centre you will find a good selection restaurants, cafés and pubs. The shops cater for a range of tastes, such as galleries, gifts, jewellery, chocolate specialists, toiletry specialists, outdoor clothing and the usual newsagents etc.
Derwentwater is about a 10 minute walk where you can take a boat trip, explore the lake shore and have a picnic. The Theatre by the Lake is situated here and the programme can be quite extensive and caters for amateur productions as well as professional.
Eric is a locally born resident and his wife Liz has been a resident for about 42 years so between them they can provide has a wealth of knowledge about the area.

Location

Come off the M6 at Penrith, Junction 40, take the A66 west and head for Keswick. Turn left on to the A591 after about 16 miles to enter Keswick. When you come to a T junction turn right. Go down the hill past the Ambulance and Fire stations. You will find the Conservative Club on your left and a left turn right after it. This is Greta street leading to Eskin Street. Follow the road up to the end of Eskin street and you will find Hunters Way on the left side of the road, second Guest House from the top of the road. A map can be found on our website.
