Ellas Crag Guest House

Located in the heart of the Newlands Valley, Ellas Crag Guest House nestles on the lower slopes of Causey Pike with Catbells directly across the Valley. Jane and Ed Ma endeavour to offer warm hospitality and a comfortable retreat following a day on the fells. We provide breakfasts to suit different appetites and tastes using freerange and local produce where possible, homemade preserves and homebaked bread. Packed lunches are available on request. Location

To find us exit M6 at Junction 40 and proceed along A66 towards Keswick. By-pass Keswick and take left turning to Portinscale/Newlands Valley. Continue through Portinscale past the Marina. After approx. 1.5 miles turn right towards Swinside/ Stair / Newlands Valley / Buttermere. Pass by the Swinside Inn and Newlands Adventure Centre and over small bridge through the hamlet of Stair. Follow the road up the incline by Stair Mill. Ellas Crag is on the left at the small junction with the road leading on to Buttermere and back to Braithwaite.
