High Moss Farm Caravans

Highmoss Farm, situated near to the Lake District village of Bassenthwaite, has two immaculate, fully equipped, static holiday homes positioned to the side of a meadow. The location, on a working farm, is quiet and peaceful  yet just 10 minutes drive from the popular market town of Keswick and 15 minutes to Cockermouth.

The holiday homes offer very comfortable accommodation for up to four people as both have 1 double  with en-suite WC and 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with w.c ,basin and electric shower. Both have open-plan kitchen, living and dining areas which are fully gas central heated and double glazed so very cosy if the weather gets a little chilly. Outside each has its own private veranda with dining area so in the warmer weather you can enjoy the views from the timber deck whilst dining out or just relaxing in the fresh air. Both have parking outside the homes with large grassed area.

The small village of Bassenthwaite is a three minute drive or a 10 minute walk away where there is a village pub offering good food and beer. For those that would like to give the car a rest, Bassenthwaite also has a regular bus service to both Keswick, Cockermouth and beyond (see timetable here).

There are many walks directly from the farm. From a short stroll to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake or the somewhat more strenuous ramble to the top of nearby Skiddaw, there is something to suit every walker. Certainly, if it’s a little solitude you like when out fell walking then you would do little better than the ‘Back ‘o Skiddaw’ where you can walk for miles with only a slight chance of meeting anyone – such bliss!

The caravans are let on on weekly basis starting on saturday.

Each has  flat screen TV with dvd player, fridge ,microwave, crockery, pans etc.

Duvets ,bed linen, towels are also provided.
