Skiddaw Croft Bed & Breakfast offers a warm welcome in the quiet village of Portinscale, within a short walk of Keswick Town. Our B&B is an Edwardian house which provides immaculate, spacious and comfortable rooms with splendid views over Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. We have a relaxing and cosy guest lounge with suggested walks, magazines and books.
Breakfasts to suit all tastes and appetites are provided using local produce and homemade items. Vegetarian/vegan breakfast options are always available. We also cater for anyone needing a Gluten Free breakfast. We have a separate toaster for gluten free bread and source tasty gluten free sausages from our local butcher. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements at the time you make your booking.
Private parking for up to 5 cars and secure cycle storage.
Portinscale Village boasts a shop/cafe, a pub/restaurant, a hotel with public bar and 2 marinas, all within 5 minutes walk. Keswick town centre is an easy level walk away.
We now have a Guest Book app for all guests to use. It includes links to local shops, bars, restaurants, activities businesses and a map to get directions. This removes the need for a physical guest book in your room and provides far more, and up to date, information. A link to enable you to download it is sent to you in your booking confirmation email.
