Ultimate Bowie comes to Keswick

Fans of the much-loved David Bowie are in for a treat - ‘Ultimate Bowie’ is set to wow audiences at Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake on Friday 10 November with a stunning show of Bowie classics from Space Oddity and Let’s Dance to his latest hit, Blackstar.

Ultimate Bowie is fronted by Ed Blaney, who first appeared as David Bowie in the popular TV show ‘Stars in their Eyes’ in 2005. The definitive look-alike with an amazing vocal likeness, he got such a great reaction to his appearance he decided to put together a band, and Ultimate Bowie has been touring around the UK since 2009. The seven strong band includes Ed’s wife Christina who plays the keyboard (and with whom he duets in Under Pressure). Their daughter Penny is responsible for Ed’s make-up and costumes, ensuring that Bowie’s chameleon-like personae is fully reflected in some wonderful stage outfits.

The set is made up of singles and album tracks from throughout Bowie’s career, something from every era, from Ziggy Stardust to the modern day - as such, the evening reflects Bowie’s rich and diverse musical legacy. Since Bowie’s death the band have been particularly in demand, with sell out gigs throughout the UK, and a ten tour date in New Zealand.

Join us on 10 November in celebrating the master of reinvention at a fun fuelled, flamboyant gig which captures the essence and authenticity of David Bowie in concert. Tickets are £18, £15 concessions. Find out more at www.theatrebythelake.com or call the box office on 017687 74411.
