Happy Adventuring with the Keswick Mountain Festival - 16th-20th May 2012

Calling all Schools...
There are still places left for our Childrens Triathlon which is being held on Wednesday 16th May at Keswick Pool and Fitz Park. Last year the event attracted over 500 children from local schools. The event is non competitive with a 25metre swim, 1KM bike ride and 400metre run, it is all about having a go, having fun and it is FREE! If there are any schools out there who would like to enter, please get in touch.The event is being supported by the Lake District National Park and Buffera. Bikes will be provided and children recieve a goody bag when they finish.

A day on the hills with Cameron
Fancy a day out on the hills with a well known author, broadcaster, backpacker and wilderness hiker? Well look no further as 15 lucky visitors will be able to spend the day with Cameron McNeish on Sat 19th May. Cameron will be taking you up Skiddaw from Latrigg via Jenken Hill and Little Man. He will be able to tell you tales of his fascinating career whilst taking in some great views of the Lakes. Places are limited, book now!

Welcome back Helen!
Helen Skelton has just returned from her South Pole expedition where she trekked, kite skied and ice biked all the way to the South Pole all in 20 days! Helen had never cross country skied or used a kite to ski so her achievement is even more incredible. Helen will be talking at the festival on Friday 18th May and will be sharing her epic adventures with you all. Don't miss out as tickets are selling fast.
