Nordic Walking is back at Whinlatter this spring! This spring Nordic Walking is back with Nics Nordic Walks. Nordic Walking is an enhancement of ordinary walking – it makes something we can all do… twice as effective! Nordic Walking uses poles to in order to add two major benefits to walking The use of poles means the upper body muscles are used as well as the legs The poles help to propel the walker along – this means he/she works harder than usual yet the support given by the poles makes it feel easier! Free 45 minute Tater Sessions: A 45 minute session that will help you understand just how beneficial Nordic walking can be and how it is far more than just walking with poles! This Introductory session will give you an insight into how the poles can propel you along and work the whole body. You will also understand why it is important to learn the technique properly in order to get maximum benefit. Taster sessions are running 30.4.18 AM & pm, 1.5.18 AM, 7.5.18 AM & PM & 8.5.18 AM. Nordic Walking Courses: These courses consists of 2 sessions, (2 x 2 hours, consecutive days). In each of the sessions, as you progress through the Nordic Walking Gears, there will be a short teaching session followed by a short walk to practice your new skill as it progresses each session. Gain your Nordic Walking UK Passport on completion of the course to continue your Nordic journey, back home, there are over 300 instructors in the UK. Leki Nordic Walking Poles are provided for the duration of the course. Dates for the courses: 1.5.18 PM & 2.5.18 AM, 2.5.18 PM & 3.5.18 AM, 8.5.18 PM & 9.5.18 AM, 9.5.18 PM & 10.5.18 AM. Cost £45 for both sessions. Nordic Adventure Walks: Using all your Nordic Walking Skills to take you through the glorious landscape of Whinlatter. Dates for walks 3.5.18 PM & 10.5.18 PM. Cost £8 per walk.
