Just 8 mins west of M6 J40, off the A66 towards Keswick.
Marian will bring a variety of coloured merino wools, dyed silks, threads and other fibres used to create a richly textured wool picture. You will learn how to lay out the fibres, blend colours, create shapes and then use the wet felting technique which involves warm soapy water, and some rockin’ and rollin’. You can choose between a beach scene or a floral scene, and you may wish to bring a photo to work from for inspiration. There will be some shells and sea glass which you could include either by stitching or adding into the wool layers. A machine embroidery demonstration will be available on request (if there is time) but your piece will need to be embroidered at home on your own machine when your felt is dry.
