This is Threlkeld Quarry Museums Annual Steam Gala when our resident locomotive " SIRTOM " is joined by 5 or more visiting engines that this year areof the type that worked in the Dinorwic Slate Quarry in North Wales . There will be an intensive passenger service utilising all the Engines interspersed with demonstration goods trains . It is intended that our 1909 steam excavator will be being demonstrated along with some of the 80 excavators that can be seen on our large site
