On the C2C Cycle route 200 yds north of Greystoke village green, direction Blencowe. We welcome all cyclists and walkers and ask all those with cars to walk the 350yds from the village car park around the Greystoke Castle walls. We can offer parking in our driveway to cycle support vehicles and those attending our workshop days, Bus links to Penrith and Keswick. Penrith railway station 5 miles
This short evening course is hands-on and is designed to make sure you can become self sufficient when out on your own on a bike ride. Beginners Bike Maintenance and Set up Short Course with Steve Woods MIA at Greystoke Cycle Cafe Starting from the very beginning with the basic parts of a bike, you will learn all about bike types and their wheels, then moving onto gears, types of brakes, what to look for regarding any servicing needs (when is it worn out ?) and of course, how to mend the dreaded puncture/ change an inner tube. This includes removing and replacing the back wheel. By the end you'll be raring to ride off into the sunset without worrying 'what if I get a puncture?'!
