The tiny village of Troutbeck is ideally placed for touring the Lake District, Eden Valley, Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall. It is situated midway between Keswick and Penrith with Ullswater and Aira Force only a short drive away.
Take the opportunity to take a cruise on Ullswater Steamers or visit the nearby lakeshore villages of Glenridding and Pooley Bridge. Activities in the local area include walking, fishing, sailing, cycling and rock climbing all in breathtaking scenery with panoramic views towards Blencathra.
The village has a family run pub The Troutbeck Inn which offers homemade lunches and dinners.
