Mungrisdale

Mungrisdale is a small fellside village about 2 miles off the main A66 Penrith to Keswick road. It is an ideal base not only for exploring the Lake District but also for days out to the city of Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall, the Scottish borders and the Eden Valley.

Mungrisdale is close to all the fells in the area know as 'Back o' Skidda' such as Blencathra, Bowscale, Great Calva, Carrock Fell and High Pike. It has easy access to both Derwentwater and Ullswater for watersport enthusiasts. For walking routes click here.
