Description

Irvine and Mallory are spacious, individual apartments, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms sleeping 4, within the characterful Applethwaite Country House, a former Gentleman's Residence built in 1881. The gracious property stands in large private woodland gardens which are home to red squirrels. The elevated setting on the slopes of Skiddaw, 1.5 miles from Keswick, offers outstanding views over Derwentwater and Borrowdale. Putting course, bowling lawn and walks from the door.

Each apartment has its own layout and character providing spacious and comfortable home from home accommodation. Each is fully self-contained with private entrance and no shared stairway. Common to both apartments are the wonderful views in an outstandingly beautiful and peaceful setting, double en-suite and twin en-suite with t.v., fully fitted modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and gas hob, full central heating and generously proportioned living accommodation. Both are non-smoking and have private parking.
Bicycle storage/drying facilities available on request. One pet in Mallory by arrangement.

Location

Junction 40 of M6. Follow A66 to Keswick. Do not turn left to Keswick but continue to roundabout. Turn right onto A591 Carlisle road, then immediately right again after 20 metres, up a country lane signposted Underscar.
