Village Life - Country Living!
By a stream with ducks and a wooden bridge you will find our delightful cottages, (sleep from 2 to 10) stable/barn cottage and farmhouse.
The Nest and The Studio, are both suitable for 2 people, whereas the larger Brook House cottages lend themselves to family get- to- gethers, or more roomy family accommodation. See our website for virtual tour of these cottages.
Short breaks available except school holidays.
Good local inn nearby. Ideal for all ages, playing in stream,or taking country walks spotting deer and red squirrels and birdwatching for buzzards and osprey. Red squirrels are now visiting the village gardens where we have food boxes out to encourage them. Visit our new arrival “Mrs Piggywinkle” the saddleback pig and her seven piglets, or bottle feed our 3 pet lambs, feed the ducks that waddle in and out of the farmyard and swim up and down on the stream, collect duck eggs in the morning, after letting the ducks out of their shed. Alternatively relax by a lovely log fire or by the stream and woodland.
For the more energetic Skiddaw and Dash Falls are just behind us and many other peaks within easy reach for a days climbing. Skiddaw 2 miles. Lake 2 miles. Keswick 6 miles. Ideal walking or relaxing.

Our cottages are situated in Bassenthwaite Village by picturesque stream and woodland on a working village farm, half a mile from the A591.
6 miles midway between market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth.
